MERLIN FOSTERS A COMMUNITY OF GIVING

KALISPELL, MT - March 13, 2008 – The employees of Merlin Information Services, a leading database provider for finding people, businesses, and assets, have embraced a spirit of giving and donated time, energy and resources to benefit the community in which they live and do business.

In November, Merlin employees donated over 700 pounds of food to the Veteran’s Food Pantry of Kalispell, Montana. The donations helped create holiday food baskets for 80 veterans’ families. The need for assistance is great -- in 2006, almost 2,800 people benefited from the services of this local pantry.

In December, employees purchased gifts for area foster children who are under the care of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for Kids. Thanks to Merlin employees, the specific wishes of many foster children were met on Christmas morning.

Merlin also continued its tradition of donating to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in lieu of purchasing holiday greeting cards.

In February, Merlin sponsored a Red Cross Blood drive with a goal to provide 20 units of blood. 26 people volunteered providing 23 pints of blood to the Red Cross. These efforts help ensure that there is an adequate blood supply for friends, family, and neighbors in need. Another blood drive is scheduled for June.

Merlin President Michael Dores said, “At Merlin, we’re always aware of our responsibility to support the community in which we live and work. It is part of our core values, but also a way of life at Merlin.”
